Mount Shasta
A mighty volcano in the Cascade Range, Mount Shasta dominates the landscape, visible for more than 200 miles from parts of Northern California and Southern Oregon. A little known fact is that Mount Shasta houses the highest working sun-powered composting toilet in the United States. Way to Go! helps answer the question “What do you do when you have to poop in the wilderness?”

Richard Herskowitz, AIFF Artistic and Executive Director, and Erica Thompson, Managing Director, announced the last award of the closing AIFF Zoom event : the first ever Leo Fuchsman Audience Award for Best Local Short won by Way to Go!
The Klamath Independent Film Festival is the only Oregon-centric, all-genre film festival in the state. In September 2020, the festival showcased the shorts and feature films of Oregon filmmakers and/or films shot in Oregon.
Way to Go!, the Jury Grand prize winner for Southern Short Film, is featured in this PBS film about the festival.
Way to Go! received Exceptional Merit recognition at the Nature Without Borders International Film Festival Fall 2020
Way to Go! won for Best Environmental Film at the McMinnville Short Film Festival held February 19-21, 2021
